In addition to Field Crew Members for 2016, we’re looking for three specialized team members:  A Production Coordinator, a Packaging & Distribution Coordinator, and a Culinary Herb Specialist (see job descriptions below). As concerns all positions, pay is hourly and commensurate with experience, and benefits include lots of free veggies.

A clean driving record and the ability to drive stick is a plus. Isabelle Farm is seeking a Production Coordinator to help manage harvest and planting at Thomas Farm (11 acres), which includes creating and implementing a new cut flower and floral design program. Job responsibilities include greenhouse seeding, hand-weeding, transplanting, irrigating, tractor work, harvest/wash/pack, driving a delivery truck, onsite CSA distribution and more. The farm season begins with setting up the transplant house, then seeding and caring for transplants in March.

The Production Coordinator helps organize and execute work projects (harvest and transplanting), often leading and instructing Field Crew, maintaining field maps and harvest records, maintaining order and cleanliness of farm trucks and harvest tools mainly on the land we farm at Thomas Farm Open Space.

Ideal candidates will have at least 2 seasons of farming. The Production Coordinator should expect to work 50-60 hours a week with occasional weekends (if needed during the peak season), handle mildly strenuous physical activity, and interact professionally with co-workers and customers alike.

Pay is hourly and commensurate with experience, and includes lots of free veggies. This position has the potential to run year round, depending on the person and the season.

Isabelle Farm is seeking a Culinary Herb Specialist to help manage harvest and planting of our 1-acre Culinary Herb Farm. This position’s responsibilities include seeding and propagation in greenhouse, transplanting, weeding, mulching, and irrigation, and the harvesting and packing of culinary herbs. We pick over 100 pounds of mint, chives, basil, sage, oregano and thyme each week and would like to do more.

Ideal candidates will have at least 2 seasons of farming experience, including culinary herbs. The Culinary Herb Specialist should expect to work part-time (20-30 hours per week), with occasional weekends, be able to handle strenuous and repetitive work, be detail-oriented and self-motivated, with the ability to take ownership of the harvest and maintenance of the herb program. The Coordinator will work with a small harvest team to implement the culinary herb program. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must. As with all our field positions, there is opportunity for additional hours harvesting, doing post-harvest and/or CSA distributions.




Isabelle Farm is seeking a Packing & Distribution Coordinator to wash and pack produce for our distribution outlets (CSA, Farm Stand, Restaurants and Small Stores). The Coordinator would be responsible for packing and labeling orders, making sure deliveries are implemented correctly, maintaining and cleaning post-harvest equipment, maintaining logs and paperwork required for GAP Certifications, monitoring and managing the walk-in, and guiding seasonal employees in the packing shed. Occasional deliveries and/or help with CSA distribution may be required if needed. A clean driving record is a must.

Ideal candidates will have 1-2 seasons of farming and post-harvest experience. The Packing & Distribution Coordinator should expect to full-time (45-55 hours per week) with occasional weekends, be abe to lift 50 lbs, handle strenuous and repetitive work, be detail oriented and self-motivated, and possess the ability and desire to take ownership of the post-harvest program. The Coordinator will work with a small team to implement the post-harvest program. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must.
